Aircraft > Turbine Helicopter > Westland > G-SCTA: Westland Scout
G-SCTA has been restored, maintained and kept flying to an exceptional standard by its current owners, in accordance with UK CAA regulations. A full refinish both internally & externally was carried out just two years ago, in an historical Army Air Corps paint scheme as seen during Operation Crusader (Germany, 1980). The aircraft has been continually hangarage when not in use, assisting to maintain its beautiful finish. The aircraft is fully compliant with the lastest UK CAA airworthness regulations having recently had a full radio and transponder suite upgrade. G-SCTA is powered by a Rolls-Royce Nimbus Gas Turbine Engine, built to be robust and easy to service. The aircraft has the benifit of being sold with a spares package enabling the relifing of the cabin and major components along with a spare engine. Details of which can be supplied upon request. As with nearly all Scouts aircraft, G-SCTA was in service with the British Army Air Corps for a number of decades before being retired and purchased for civilian use. G-SCTA is a popular aircraft which has made appearances at air shows and air-craft-meet events alike. Advice and full assistance for the operation and any type related training can be given upon request.
