Autopilot notes:
The STEC 20/30 System is rate based, not attitude based. It operates from input from the Turn & Bank instrument, not the attitude. It does not need vacuum to operate and will continue to operate even in the case of a failure of the vacuum pump. It has features of Heading, NAV Track, and Altitude hold. It will track a localizer or LPV course but will not follow a glide slope. In this airplane, it is wired to follow either the NAV-1, Garmin GNS-430W or the Nav-2, GNS-530W.
