Description

Look at the elegant lines of the 2006 classic SeaRey amphibious experimental aircraft. It’s light weight, easy to fly, and full of adventure. That’s what you get in the SeaRey, with its 100 HP Rotax 912S power plant, which can run on 100 LL or MoGas. It features hydraulic retractable main landing gear, micro vortex generators, fiberglass C hull, and fabric covered wings and tail. This is an Experimental Amateur-Built Aircraft (EAB), and is not in the Light Sport category. To fly this SeaRey, pilots must have a Private Pilot's License with a Tail Wheel Endorsement. To operate on water, pilots must be also be Single Engine Seaplane rated. The Searey Flight Instructor’s Association (SFIA) maintains a cadre of qualified CFI/Instructor Pilots based around the US to assist you in receiving training.

This amphib has NEVER been operated in salt water, just in fresh water. After each use, the hull was washed down to prevent algae and the tubes have been treated with linseed oil.
