Description

Today I am selling my personal Sling 2.
I used it for time building out in Utah & it has served as an excellent aircraft especially in the higher density altitudes. It is truly a great aircraft for learning how to fly, building hours for the airlines, or just simply getting up in the air and exploring.
Economically speaking it gets better gas mileage than my truck as it burns 5 gallons per hour of 100LL or MOGAS.
Under the cowling, it is equipped with a 100 HP Rotax 912 ULS which spin the Whirlwind ground adjustable propellors.
In the cockpit, the aircraft is equipped with a 10.4 inch MGL avionics touch screen iEFIS, as well as an MGL avionics "XTreme EFIS" backup. Additionally it has a Garmin GTR 225 VHF radio equipped.
During my ownership, the aircraft was hangared in Northern Utah, and covered and tied down outside in Southern and Central California for the last few months.
During my ownership, I had the windshield replaced as well as the taxi, landing and tail strobe switched to WAT LEDs. The slide open canopy has a crack, but is drilled to prevent it from growing.
All maintenance was conducted by Rotax certified mechanics, and every question I had could and was answered by a large support group online or the mechanics from the Sling factory out of Torrance California.
My Sling 2 has been a joy to fly over the 3 years that I have owned it. With it being so simple to operate, maintain, and fly, I have come to find that it makes me feel like I am truly flying, rather than operating an aircraft. I have personally flown many training aircrafts from Cessnas, Pipers, Grummans, Vans, etc, and the responsiveness, and stability that I feel when flying the Sling was unmatched.
