1978 Grumman/Gulfstream American AA-5A Cheetah Excellent fun flying airplane! Just flew it back from East Texas averaged 120kts TAS, up as high as 13.5K ft, burning 7-7.5 gallons per hour. 52 gallons of fuel 3830 TT, 0-320 Lycoming that is running very well with ~1750 TSMO. These engines often run 1000 hours plus past TBO. Stripes just repainted in new colors (Red and Blue) - exterior shows well at 7+ Interior is original but very functional and kinda cool in a 70's plaid way:) Garmin 430 Nav/Com with G-106 head unit Garmin 340 audio panel - 4 newly wired built-in jacks MX-11 second Comm Stratus ADSB transponder Faster than the equivalent Cessna or Piper and way more enjoyable to fly. No doors - sliding canopy just like a fighter plane.
