The MiG-21 is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft designed by Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau. This particular aircraft - N321LS was made for export and manufactured by the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation of China and called the F7- MiG 21. It was not airworthy when it was purchased in 1998 in Vermont and was disassembled and trucked down to Mansfield Lahm Airport, Ohio. The aircraft was reassembled. Since that time this airplane has only been used for static display at its home airport as the owner had quad bi-pass surgery just after acquiring it and never flew again or put the aircraft into an airworthy state. For the plane to be moved anywhere the wings will need to be removed, transported and then reattached. The aircraft has been kept in a climate controlled hangar in Ohio since its purchase in 1998. There have been NO modifications to it since purchase. The aircraft has an engine and instruments. It appeared in the movie Escape 3, in the background.
