Description

If you are looking for an eye-catching 4 place IFR STOL Warbird that can tow gliders and accomodate skis, floats, and skydivers, this is it. Low Time (899 TTAF, 899 TTEng, 899 TTProp). Multi-role Warbird. Powerful supercharged 9 cylinder radial, roomy 4-place with large baggage area, IFR, STOL, sweet handling, standard category, factory-installed TOST tow hitch. Certified to configure for skis, floats, multiple gliders on tow (Wilgas are popular for towing in Europe). Imron paint, EAA-qualified Warbird in markings of Wilga that served in Polish Air Force, 1 PLM Warsawa. Always a huge attention-getter at air shows, fly-ins, & on the ramp. It's a great, affordable utility aircraft for entry into the Warbird scene--we've been featured in "Warbirds" magazine and other Warbird-oriented publications (a couple more just recently in 2023). Owned, flown, and maintained by husband/wife FAST-carded CFII/A&Ps with over a decade of Wilga experience. This was our entry drug into Warbirds, selling now after all these years due to purchase of T34s, but still flying it for occasional fun and good health of the plane. Avionics

Standard Wilga instrumentation with avionics upgrades: Garmin GNS-430W nav/com, Garmin GI-106B LOC/GS display, KT71 transponder (250 Watt, Mode C), Sigtronics SPA400 4-place intercom. Dual stick, dual PTT, dual engine controls. Smoke system with custom tank.
  

Airframe

Solid all-metal airframe (no wood structure or fabric covering). Original Imron paint in historically-accurate Polish Air Force markings. Smooth, solid, pushrod & bearing, counter-balanced controls. Leading-edge slats on wing and elevator for great STOL performance and control. Cleveland wheels and brakes conversion. Fresh tailwheel-to-rudder bungees installed. TOST tow hook factory installed.
  

Engines / Mods

Supercharged 260 hp AI-14 RA nine-cylinder radial engine. Great compressions. Standard Wilga engine gauges. EGT gauge with vernier mixture control. JPI FS-450. Champion fine wire plugs. Remote snot valve control. Smoke system installed with large, custom easy-fill smoke oil tank, makes great smoke!
  

Interior / Exterior

Original interior in nice condition with custom seat covers and Molle-style seat back storage bags. Hooker harnesses. Large baggage compartment. Rosen visors. Seat-back mounted spare scuba pony air supply bottle.
  

Remarks

Sweet handling -- it's a hoot to fly! Built military-strong. We have found it relatively easy to work on and keep maintained. We know Wilgas--we've owned three. A very accurate rendition of this airplane's paint scheme is on a Wilga available for Microsoft Flight Sim.
