Description

1970 95-BE55 for sale - $82,500. AFTT is 5221 hours. Left Engine is 1553 hours SMOH. Right Engine is 1620 hours SMOH. Left prop is 142 hours SPOH. Right prop is 142 hours SPOH.
I have owned and flown this aircraft for the last 20 years. It is currently located at Foley, AL (5R4). It has been hangered for the last 20 plus years (that I know about) with the exception of 6 months last summer while Foley rebuilt the T-hangers. It had a cover over it during that time. Maintenance (and annuals) have been done the last two years at Foley. Prior to moving the aircraft to a T-Hanger at Foley, annuals (one was done at Foley) were done by Continental Motors at Fairhope, AL (CQF).

N67RM (formerly D-ILBU) was brought back to the US from Germany in 1997 by my former partner in the aircraft. Because it was delivered overseas, it has zinc chromate inside and outside. I do not have the German log books but have all the logs since it was converted back to US registry as well as a complete AD list from the time it was put into service..
Paint - painted in 2004 in Army T-42A paint scheme - needs paint. You can paint it with your color scheme.
The olive drab paint is oxidized and has peeled back from the boots. The white paint has held up very well.
Interior - serviceable but needs interior replaced.
Boots replaced about 19 years ago. No patches.
Alcohol wind screen. The alcohol props are placarded out of service.
Avionics master switch
Front seat shoulder harness
Pilot and copilot push to talk on control yoke
Pilot autopilot disconnect button on yoke
Janitrol Cabin Heater
Aircraft - great flying airplane. Long cord flaps, large baggage door, dual controls, pilot side brakes. Great instrument airplane.

Airframe

Airframe is currently painted in an Army T-42A paint scheme. It has de-ice boots but is not certified for known icing. Boots were replaced about 19 years ago. No patches on the boots.
Needs paint. Current paint is oxidized and peeling back from behind the boots. The elevators have been replaced with all aluminum. Large baggage door and rear storage area. Front spar web doublers have been installed (both left and right). Two main fuel bladders and two aux bladders with 136 gallons of fuel. EI fuel gauges (2). I have a new main door seal that has not been installed and will go with the airplane. Useful load is 1750 pounds. With full fuel, you can carry 810 pounds for 4.5 hours.

Annual completed 2 Oct 2023
Pitot/Static/Transponder certification completed Oct 2023

Engines / Mods

Continental IO-470 L engines. Left engine has Slick mags. Right engine has Bendix mags. The Bendix mags were just overhauled after over 1500 hours of service. Both engines have Gami injectors and Air Wolf oil filter adapters. I used only Aeroshell 100+ for oil. Engines use about 1 quart every 4 hours. I flight plan the airplane at 185 kts (it is actually a little faster). At cruise at 8 or 9 thousand feet, i can lean back to 12.5/13 gallons per hour per side.

Interior / Exterior

Cloth seats
6 seats
One piece windscreen (thicker then original) - clear with no cracks or scratches.
Interior is serviceable but needs to be replaced. Seats are functional with a couple of small tears. Carpet is worn and needs Velcro in spots.

Remarks

Why am I selling this airplane? I am 75 years old, bad knees and back. It is hard for me to get up on the wing and down. I have owned the plane for 20 years and time for someone else to take it over and give it the TLC it needs.
