The GA-7 also features a convertible interior allowing the removal of the rear seats and creating one flat platform through the entire rear of the aircraft! Exterior has chips on leading edges, plastic pieces are cracking. New paint job recommended.
This aircraft is in good mechanical condition, but being a trainer, it is not perfect aesthetically, and could use some touch-ups on the paint. It is a reliable airplane with a solid engine/prop and updated avionics. The GA-7 is one of the lowest cost Light Twins to own and operate giving you the safety of 2 engines and dual redundancy in systems but with a fuel burn similar to a large singe. The GA-7 is a delight to fly, extremely responsive, fantastic short field performance and extremely safe with the large vertical stab resulting in a Vmca below stall speed! No more loss of control issues associated with so many light twin accidents. The airframe utilizes a honeycomb structure making it extremely strong yet light compared to comparable twins allowing for the use of smaller and more efficient to operate 160hp Lycoming 0-320 engines. These are extremely cheap to maintain when compared to IO-540's etc found in many large singles or turbocharged engines found in Seneca's etc. Due to the light weight airframe there is still sufficient single engine performance. Example speeds and fuel burn figs as follows: 155kts TAS - 17.5 gph hr 143kts TAS - 16 USG per hr. Component times are subject to change. All specifications are subject to verification upon inspection. Availability is subject to prior lease, sale, or withdrawal from market without notice.
